About the Course
The Old Links at Ballyliffin Golf Club is the older and more natural of the club's two outstanding courses. While the Glashedy Links has received most of the acclaim and hosted the Irish Open, the Old Links — sometimes called the Tullagh Links — has a wilder, more authentic character that many golfers prefer. The course occupies the same spectacular duneland of the Inishowen Peninsula and was developed gradually from the 1940s onwards. The Old Links plays to par 71 over 6,614 yards with fairways that follow the natural contours of the terrain, wide landing areas, and the freedom that comes from a more relaxed approach to course design. Playing both courses at Ballyliffin back-to-back is one of the greatest two-day golf experiences in Ireland.
