About the Course
Castletown Golf Links was laid out by Old Tom Morris in 1892 on a dramatic rocky headland at the southern tip of the Isle of Man. The course occupies a limestone promontory between two sandy bays, with the Irish Sea visible from every hole. On clear days, the views from the elevated tees take in four kingdoms — England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales — a claim matched by very few courses in the world. The routing is a creative response to the terrain: rocky outcrops interrupt several fairways, the wind off the Irish Sea is constant, and the greens are perched on natural ledges and plateaux that make approach play a genuine adventure. Castletown is part of the Island's ambitious golf offering, which also includes Rowany and King Edward Bay.
