About the Course
Chambers Bay opened in 2007 and almost immediately shot to global attention when it was announced as the host of the 2015 US Open Championship. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. on a former industrial site above Puget Sound, the course is a modern masterpiece of fescue links golf. The topography is extraordinary — deep swales, firm fescue fairways, and sweeping views of Puget Sound, Mount Rainier, and the Olympic Mountains. As a fully public municipal course, Chambers Bay is remarkably accessible for a championship calibre layout and remains the most dramatic US Open venue of the modern era.
