About the Course
Cruden Bay is one of the great undiscovered treasures of links golf. Designed by Tom Simpson and Herbert Fowler, the course winds through spectacular dunes with the village of Cruden Bay below and the ruins of Slains Castle on the clifftop above. Several holes are completely hidden from each other by towering dunes, and the routing has a wonderful sense of discovery. It is also said that Bram Stoker wrote much of Dracula while staying nearby, adding to the gothic atmosphere of this wild and wonderful place.
