About the Course

Enniscrone Golf Club sits in spectacular dune country overlooking Killala Bay on the Sligo coast, close to the border with County Mayo. The Dunes Course was originally laid out in 1918 and substantially redesigned by Eddie Hackett in 1974, who is arguably Ireland's greatest links architect. Hackett routed the course through some of the most dramatic duneland terrain in Connacht, creating a round that is physically and mentally demanding. The dunes at Enniscrone dwarf even the player, and navigating the elevated tees, blind shots, and natural hollows requires full concentration throughout. It is criminally underrated by visitors who focus solely on the Ballybunion-Lahinch-Waterville trio further south.
