About the Course
Golf d'Étretat is one of the most spectacularly situated golf courses on Earth. Founded in 1908, the course was built atop the famous chalk white cliff plateau above Étretat — the same landscape immortalised by Monet and Courbet. The clifftop holes offer views straight down to the beach, the natural rock arch of the Porte d'Aval, and across the English Channel. The course is a true links challenge, with firm turf, thin topsoil and the full force of Channel winds to contend with. Playing from behind a fence at the cliff edge on several holes concentrates the mind wonderfully. A bucket-list golfing experience that combines natural drama with genuine links challenge.
