About the Course
Gullane Golf Club is blessed with the most exquisite turf — winter rules are not needed here. If you hit the No.1 course fairways, a perfect lie awaits even in the depths of winter. The course climbs Gullane Hill through the opening holes before revealing panoramic views of the Firth of Forth, Bass Rock, Berwick Law, and on clear days, the Pentland Hills and Edinburgh Castle. The layout dates to 1882 with gradual development and refinements over the decades. Gullane No.1 has hosted the Scottish Open and is a regular Open Championship qualifying venue. The village of Gullane itself is a golfer's paradise, with four courses (No.1, No.2, No.3 and Luffness New) all within easy walking distance.
