About the Course
Machrihanish Dunes is one of the most extraordinary golf course achievements of the 21st century. David McLay Kidd designed the course on a Site of Special Scientific Interest, which meant he could move virtually no earth — instead routing the holes through the existing dunes using only the natural contours of the land. The result is a course of extraordinary character and authenticity, sitting beside its older neighbour Machrihanish Golf Club. Together they form one of the finest remote golf pilgrimages in Scotland.
