About the Course
Narin & Portnoo Links occupies a spectacular headland above Gweebarra Bay on the south-west Donegal coast. The course is short at just under 6,000 yards but the terrain is dramatic — rocky outcrops, natural hollows, heather, and Atlantic wind make it a genuine challenge. Founded in 1930 and developed largely by the local community without the hand of a famous architect, Narin & Portnoo has an utterly authentic character that many more famous courses lack. The views from the elevated holes across the Atlantic islands of Aran are among the most spectacular on any links course in Ireland. The green fee is among the most affordable for a top-100 ranked course anywhere in the world.
