About the Course
Old Head of Kinsale sits on a dramatic promontory jutting 3km into the Atlantic. The headland is surrounded by sea on three sides, and virtually every hole offers vertiginous ocean views from dizzying heights. This is not the finest course in technical terms, but for sheer spectacle and drama, nowhere in golf comes close. On clear days the views stretch from the Fastnet Rock to the Old Head lighthouse, and the crashing waves below add a soundtrack unlike any other golf course on earth.
