Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club has been rated as Australasia's best golf course on multiple occasions, and its reputation is well deserved. Designed by Alex Russell in 1949 — the same hand behind Royal Melbourne's West Course — the course sits directly beside the Tasman Sea on the Kāpiti Coast, with extraordinary views to the Kāpiti Island nature reserve. The routing is pure links: firm, fast, and shaped by the prevailing Cook Strait winds. Natural dunes, swales, and fescue rough frame every hole.
