About the Course
Royal Birkdale is widely regarded as the finest links course in England and one of the great championship venues in the world. The course winds through a series of natural valleys between towering sand hills, giving it a unique character among British links. Unlike many links courses, the holes at Birkdale are largely self-contained, with the dunes providing shelter and framing the fairways.
