About the Course
Royal Liverpool at Hoylake is one of the great championship links of the world. The course is set on flat linksland on the Wirral Peninsula overlooking the Dee Estuary, and while it lacks the dramatic elevation changes of some courses, the challenge it presents is immense. The narrow fairways, hidden bunkers, and the notorious 'cop' — the ridge running along several holes — demand precision from tee to green. Tiger Woods famously won the 2006 Open here hitting irons off the tee on virtually every hole.
