About the Course
Streamsong Resort opened in 2012 on 16,000 acres of reclaimed phosphate mining land in central Florida, and the Red Course — designed by the legendary Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw — immediately became one of America's most celebrated modern designs. The course makes brilliant use of the extraordinary topography left by mining operations: dramatic elevation changes, deep sandy waste areas, and rolling terrain that looks nothing like Florida. The fescue-lined fairways and firm, fast conditions are more evocative of Scottish links than the Sunshine State. Three courses exist at Streamsong — Red, Blue (Tom Doak) and Black (Gil Hanse) — making it America's most concentrated collection of top-100 calibre holes.
