About the Course
Tara Iti has rocketed into the world's top rankings since opening in 2015, with many experts already rating it among the greatest courses ever built. Tom Doak designed the course on the Te Arai coast north of Auckland, using spectacular dunescape above the Pacific to create a course of extraordinary visual beauty and strategic depth. The club is extremely private — only 150 members worldwide — but limited visitor play is permitted. The course name means 'Little Tern' in Māori, honouring the endangered seabird that nests on the adjacent beach.
