About the Course
The European Club is one man's magnificent obsession. Pat Ruddy designed, built, and owns this remarkable links on Brittas Bay in County Wicklow, just over an hour south of Dublin. Unusually for a links, the course plays 20 holes — Ruddy added two extra holes to offer golfers more variety. The course occupies a spectacular stretch of duneland above a beautiful beach, and the golf is of the highest quality. Tom Watson, one of the greatest links players of all time, called it one of the top 20 courses in the world.
